Biography

Helen Parker is a current Labour councillor, elected in 2017 and serving until 2029. As a local primary school teacher, her political focus is on education and children's services. She is a passionate advocate for Ambridge's youth, and she believes that a strong educational system is the foundation for a prosperous community. Parker is keenly aware of the challenges facing local schools, including budget constraints and the need for modern infrastructure. She is a strong voice for ensuring that the council's policies support schools and provide adequate resources for children's services. She holds her councillor surgeries at St. Mary's Community Hall on the first Saturday of every month.
