Cllr Susan Palmer
Deputy Leader of the Council
Biography
Susan Palmer was a former Liberal Democrat councillor who served from 2009 to 2017. As a former social worker, her political focus was on social care and community services. She was deeply committed to ensuring that the most vulnerable residents of Ambridge received the support they needed. Palmer's professional background gave her an intimate understanding of the challenges facing the social care system, especially in a time of budget cuts. She was a tireless advocate for the elderly, disabled, and other vulnerable groups, often speaking passionately about the need for a compassionate and well-funded social care system.
