ICT and Digital Transformation Strategy 2027–2031

Five-year digital transformation roadmap approved by Cabinet on 10 December 2026. Commits £2.14 million investment to deliver projected annual savings of £320,000 by 2029/30. Five programmes: Digital Services Transformation (new website and self-service portal by Q2 2027); Data and Analytics (Council Data Platform and predictive analytics by 2030); Process Automation (RPA and AI-assisted planning processing by 2031); Cyber Security (Cyber Essentials Plus by Q1 2027); and Digital Inclusion (digital skills training for 2,000 residents per year). Governed by a Programme Board chaired by the Chief Executive.
