This forward plan sets out the strategic framework for evaluating sustainable housing developments and rural land allocation within the parish boundaries for the 2024/25 period.

Developed by the Planning & Infrastructure team, the document prioritizes the protection of established green-belt boundaries from speculative commercial building applications.

It establishes clear guidelines for negotiating developer contributions to ensure that local infrastructure upgrades directly match any new residential expansions.

The plan also maps out targeted zones for small-scale, affordable community housing projects designed specifically for local families and key workers.

Regular briefings will be held with regional housing authorities to align our localized targets with broader district master plans. This proactive zoning strategy ensures that future physical growth preserves the architectural heritage and rural character of our community.
