Revision of Member Conduct Code

The Governance Committee is required to draft a revised “Member Code of Conduct” specifically addressing the new requirements for digital proxy voting via the bespoke frontend portal. This draft must incorporate the Nolan Principles and provide clear instructions on the 24-hour lead time required for members to submit their voting delegations to the Committee Clerk. Once the initial draft is complete, it should be circulated to all councillors for a 14-day consultation period before being presented at the next Full Council meeting for formal adoption. The final version will then need to be uploaded to the “Guidelines” section of the website to ensure that residents are aware of the ethical standards governing member behavior.
